Atypical & Awesome “Songs, Sunflowers, and Back to the Grind”

“Girlfriend” by Alice Nelson (written by Alice and yours truly) is headed to country radio and all streaming platforms soon- hope to have a presave date this week. Also, wrote a very sweet autumnal song with my gal pal Kristan Mikayla and Jessica Sylvester and I are working on a few new ones as well. I recently had one of my seasonal poems featured on the front page of allpoetry.com so that was a honor (will try to post a link). Saturday, Autumn and I went o a sunflower/pumpkin patch and we carved pumpkins and watched, “It’s the Great Pumpkin” last night. Oh, how I miss the Halloween carnival my elementary school used to do- it was the highlight of the year- lol. Well, anyway, I went back to the day gig today after ten days off and somehow survived. I made Greek food tonight and now time to work on songs for a Halloween themed open- mic later this week. Tis the season.
