Atypical & Awesome “Transitions”

Life is an ever-flowing web of change. This time of year is all about transitions. The pumpkins are turning into pies and the fall candles will be lit just a few more times before everything gingerbread and peppermint take over. Our choir is practicing for the Christmas cantata while groceries are being stocked for this week’s Thanksgiving feast. It’s a special time of in-between.
This year- many areas in my life are in transition. My kids are facing major changes in their individual lives- one graduates high school, one graduates college, and two have moved or are moving to the big city. I have big music things going on as well as in my other profession as a therapist. Phillip changed his career at the age of 50 this year. So change is all around us and within us.

However, i am embracing this time of movement. Change used to be difficult for me. I’ve gotten pretty good at adapting. There is beauty in transitions. Look at the moon. She evolves and changes but remains beautiful. No really, go look at the moon. Every phase is breathtaking. Enjoy it.
