Atypical & Awesome “Saturday Vibes”
I am grateful for today. A cup of hot coffee with peppermint mocha creamer, a heated blanket, an antibiotic, and a much needed weekend off. Phillip is home. The kids seem happy. Things are looking up. The past week has been hard. Work and finals at school while fighting a cold/flu. Worries about “big” stuff,
But today- whew! A break- maybe. If I feel up to it, I may hit the Farmer’s Market and then grab some to-go pancakes from the Lion’s Club annual pancake breakfast. I plan to write this weekend. I have a comedy set to prepare for coming up this Monday- will post details tomorrow. Also, I’m looking forward to finally making it to our local Blues Society meeting this Week. Lots of things going on as usual.
We are in another transition as Alex enters the professional workforce and gets ready to leave the nest. Exciting but busy times. Also, I am between terms in grad school. However, once things get rolling again things will start accelerating and will be insane through the summer and fall. Buckle up, Buttercup. Lol
Yesterday, I got to hear 3 songs I’ve cowritten with Alice Nelson played on local radio. She’ll be playing the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo with the Alice Nelson Band right before Diamond Rio on Sunday, March 26! We leave for NY the next day so it will be an exciting weekend. If you’ve never been to the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo you should definitely check it out!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
