Atypical & Awesome, “Rumors & A-Day”

We’ve has a big week around here. Thursday night, C & P had a show at Rumors which was a lot of fun. Mr.Spud is always the entertaining host. Saturday, we ventured to Tuscaloosa for A-Day. We had a blast. We saw Saban and DoBoer at Denny Chimes, got our free posters, and enjoyed being in Bryant-Denny Stadium along with 72,000 other fans. It was definitely worth the trip.

Last night, we had a debut open-mic at Sixtel Bottle and Growler House in Enterprise. It’s a great space- hoping this was the first show of many there. C& P along with Cam Stephens and Chris Parsons put on a good show. I’m proud of the growth everyone is showing! Shoutout to Cam for booking the gig!

C& P will be interviewed this weekend for “Your Comedy Minute” which will air on youtube. I’ll post details as soon as I have them. Also, I have been asked to judge a kids Dolly talent show at a local art festival- is that not the most Carmen thing or what?

C& P will also be hosting Happy Times’ open-mic comedy on Saturday, April 27. The week afterwards is the big all-female show at Benji’s on May 4. Also on May 4, the Warrior Within by Jaime Bennett begins its next season and I was blessed to be the first featured guest.

Also, lots of cowrites, regular day gigging, and grad schooling going on so it’s pretty intense right now. As always, thank you for being a part of the ride!
