Atypical & Awesome “The End and The Bend”
I turned in my last assignments for graduate school Saturday. I was up at 4 am full of nervous energy ready to “run the last mile”. I did it. I am so incredibly proud- Carmen Melton Bennett, MSW; MS. One more letter will be added after licensure and a few more in a couple of years. But I did it-I now have two Master’s degrees. I feel very smart- lol
Thank you seems trite but thank you to my husband- the P to my C- who has been unwavering in his support of me. Thank you to my parents for cheering me on. Thank you to the kids for adapting to my “craziness” over the past two years- work and school for mom means sacrifices for the rest. Thank you to my employer for accommodating and supporting me through this journey and for my coaches both at school and through internship- it takes a village. Most of all, thank you God- you have carried me.
What’s next? Licensure. But first, a four day work week followed by commencement Friday morning and then Orange Beach for the weekend. I am a blessed girl (with two Master’s ;))
