Atypical & Awesome, “Time Marches On”

I thought things would slow down but nope, we are in full-throttle mode. I have been working hard and playing hard. Phillip and I went to see Tracy Lawrence at the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo last week. Man, he has so many hit songs that are special to me and it really made me miss 90’s country.

Speaking of country music, AMPS was represented this week! Frank Fletcher’s, “Midnight Makes Me Crazy” was played on FM 95.5 WTVY earlier this week. AMPS is honored to represent one of the writers on the song, Dennis Powell! Dennis, along with Frank, Wesley Brown, and Ben Byrd wrote a banger!

We will all be tuned in Monday night to see my cowriter, Crews Wright take on Hollywood Week on American Idol! We are all sooo excited and know Crews is truly just getting started.

I also want to bid farewell and best wishes to Alice Nelson who relocates to Nashville next week! I’m super proud of the work we have done together and excited to see Alice continue to grow. Go chase those dreams, girl!

Finally, Phillip and I went to Hoobler Open-Mic last night. I am always humbled and encouraged about the amount of local talent around here! We are blessed to have outlets such as these to help developing performers and writers!
