Atypical & Awesome “The Intensity Continues”

It’s been another intense week. So much going on- overwhelmingly so. I did get out to a couple open-mics this week including Camz Comedy Open- Mic at The Social on Main in Enterprise where I did stand-up. Kudos to Cam Stephens for putting it together. Last night, Phillip and I went to Hoobler Open-Mic (one of our favorite events) in Enterprise and I performed a new song, “Oh, Well” and it went well! Pardon the pun. It was the first time I had performed a song live in a while. Roy Hoobler hosts a great monthly event the last Friday of the month. So much diverse talent in Enterprise!

I plan to work on a lot of writing this weekend. i have a poetry reading coming up Thursday night at Mural City Coffee as part of “Together We Rhyme” put together by Patrick Pezelj. Just trying to stay grounded with work, grad school, and family responsibilities. Sometimes, you have to stop and paint the roses so that will be my goal this weekend. Except my canvas is paper and my brush is words. See you soon 🥰
