Blue Plate Blog Episode 15, “The Gulf of Mexico, Pineapple Drinks, and Lizards”

Entree: I am drinking my “fuel for life” ie coffee while on a sun deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico this morning. Panama City Beach is slowly returning to semi-normal. The gulf, however, is not so tolerant- double red flags, so no getting in the water. However, I personally love the sounds of the waves when the Gulf is a little more fierce. The wind is also amazing and definitely reinforces my desire to live in a coastal town one day soon.

First side: I love nature. However, I have had a phobia of lizards since childhood. At the beach, lizards are literally everywhere. My nerves are shot and I can feel a little of my soul dying each time I am confronted my an army of them- usually on the steps leading to and from anywhere I need to go.

Second side: i am one of “those” people. I take pictures of everything, all day, all the time. It is an artistic expression for me. Also, I struggle with short-term memory loss so it helps me document things I might otherwise forget. If you follow me online, you will see a photojournal of my life.

Dessert: There is a place that sells pineapple drinks in pineapples up the road from us. I guarantee I will have one in my hand by the end of the day.

Find your joy wherever you can, TGIF dear readers. Join me for condensed BPB this weekend- until next time, order’s up!
