Atypical & Awesome “A New Era”
We have had lots of wonderful family time over the past few days. Alex and I attended Midnight Margaritas on Saturday and participated in our first ghost tour of downtown Enterprise. It wasn’t a “scary” event but more educational. We learned a lot about the history of the downtown area we never knew. The coolest part of the evening were the actual bats flying around. I don’t think the event organizers could have planned it better.
I do have to give props to Lunation for the amount of work and attention to detail they put into the event. It was gorgeous. I plan to return next year and will be even more prepared. Fantastic job!
Sunday, we visited with my parents snd they were so glad to see Autumn after five months of big city life. She will be staying with them a couple of weeks while she is in for a friend’s bachelorette beach trip. It’s so nice to have her back for a little bit. When we got home, Phillip and I carved our rather large pumpkin and it ended up being quite the showpiece lol
Autumn drove over tonight and we had white chicken chili and Halloween themed orange floats. We watched “The Great Pumpkin” and “Halloweentown”. My heart was a little sad as our youngest is now 14 so we didn’t trick or treat. We also don’t get trick or treaters our here so boo :( But it’s a new time of life- celebrating in more “ grownush” ways with our grownish kids. But, we will watch the Great Pumpkin every year. Always. Even if the kids are 45 ;)
