Atypical & Awesome “What to Say”

I am up drinking chestnut coffee in the serenity of the festive string lights that adorn our fireplace mantle. In a little while, I will get dressed for work and dive headfirst in my busiest and most stressful work week of the year. But for now, I bask.

I bask because we had a really sweet and special weekend. Autumn is home. We did a little shopping yesterday and I had my first Aldi experience. We are fully stocked with sweet treats and fun snacks. Earlier I had Instacarted apple, cranberry, and orange juices as well as ginger ale so we can make a variety of mocktails this week.

Then, oh boy, then. My sweet husband. Yall. Phillip came through like the knight in khakis he is. He finally upgraded his phone and he was also able to get an Apple watch for himself and an I-Pad for me. My tablet croaked a few years ago so he knew how much I needed one. He also restocked my holiday coffees and picked up another chocolate pecan pie from Cracker Barrel for us. He’s so sweet. Like, I literally hit the husband lottery.

Family. That’s what it is- where it begins and ends. Love them while you can. Have a safe and beautiful holiday.
