Atypical & Awesome “Good Vibrations”
There are some serious back to school vibes this weekend! I know, we are only half-way through July but the vibrations are palpable. For the first time in five years, I don’t have a child at The University of Alabama. I don’t even know what think, BUT, we will have an 8th grader, a first year college student (staying local), and a repeat grad student in the house! So, no wonder I’m getting those feels. Plus, it’s tax free weekend so every other ad is about how we need to shop NOW. But, yeah , think I’ll wait a while lol
Speaking of higher education, can I just say whew! Alice Nelson racked up in scholarships last night in the Covington County Distinguished Young Miss Program! 4th alternate overall and she won the Interview and Talent categories! This comes as no surprise but how fun is it she performed one of our cowrites and in her cowgirl boots and jeans won the talent division! So proud of her- over $80,000 in scholarships won by this distinguished young woman last night.
Well, it’s 5 pm and I just took a shower and changed out of my pjs. I’ve taken it very easy today with just a little cooking this morning and some publishing paperwork and admin duties, Gearing up for another busy week so a day of rest is both needed and appreciated.
