Atypical & Awesome “Crockpots and Tears”

I’m up early this Saturday morning. The three seater crock pot is plugged up and fully loaded- corn chowder, Brunswick stew, and chicken for buffalo chicken dip later. We Are going over to my parents for hot wings and ribs tonight so the dip will be my contribution (if the kids don’t eat it first- lol). Cinnamon rolls just came out of the oven and I’m drinking the day’s first cup of coffee before work.

Alex is home from college . This will be the last “home from college” weekend before they graduate. My time as a “Bama Mom” is dwindling down. Alex graduates with honors with a degree in computer science in less than a month. My heart is flip flopping. Autumn’s living and working in New York, Alex is graduating college, Michael is graduating high school…. Reagan will be our last kid left in regular school. My heart ♥️ i’ve been having a few break downs here and there- I guess that is to be expected.

I’m staying busy between the day gig as a therapist for juveniles in the court system, a songwriter and publisher, and wife and mom. There is a lot going on in our lives so I’m trying to practice some self-care. I’ll be honest, it’s a pretty intense ride right now. But one thing I know how to do is to hold on and smile for the camera. Thanks for riding with me.
