Atypical & Awesome “A New York Minute, Wedded Bliss, and Waldos”

Yesterday was Autumn’s one year anniversary of living in New York. My babygirl has lived in Brooklyn and worked in Manhattan for a year now. Still surreal. She is just thriving and living her best life. Could not be prouder of her.

Alex has had a ton of interview bites this week and I can’t wait to share exciting news about them very soon! It’s been an eventful week!

I had a lot of after-hours events this past week with Darrell Qualls’ Writers Night at Bugsy’s on Monday, Write Night at the Wiregrass Museum of Art on Tuesday followed by Play the Cafe at Mural City Coffee Company on Tuesday, and the big Valentine’s Hangover Comedy Show on Thursday. I was also asked to be a part of a special Women’s History poetry event next month- so will update if I an able ti make that happen.

Last night, Phillip and I attended a beautiful and heart-touching wedding of two friends. We also saw a lot of our other friends while there so that was nice. We had lots of photo ops and chips and really good salsa from Taco Mich so no complaints.

Afterwards, we stopped in to try out Waldo’s as we have heard lots of good feedback. We agree. it was REALLY good. I brought home my leftovers so I’ll get to enjoy them later today. It had an interesting vibe- not quite pubish but a nice step above fast-food. The food was on point. Four stars.

I have already made a pot of coffee and biscuits and maple bacon this morning. Feeling very blessed. I have some grad school work to do today. It’s been a good week. i’ll take it!
