Atypical and Awesome - Growing ye olde Skillset

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. In my best Colonel Potter voice, “Horse Hockey!” So I am taking guitar lessons for the 3rd or 4th time. I think it might actually work this time. I am determined to be successful so that tends to help. I’m pretty much successful when I am determined to be successful- interesting how that works. My ultimate goal is to of course expand my songwriting- specifically, melody writing. I think I have the lyric thing kinda down pat- lol I’ve written several hundred songs over the past fourteen years. I want to be able to confidently accompany myself in songwriter rounds a few times a year. So, wish me luck. i have my guitar lesson this afternoon after work. For those keeping score, I am in my mid-forties. I am neither a dog nor old so maybe there is hope, yet :)
