Atypical & Awesome “2020 Vision”

Someone asked me yesterday if I “still liked writing songs”. I kinda laughed awkwardly and stated I’ve been writing for fourteen years at this point so I sure hope so. Writing is not something I look at as something I “like” to do. Don’t get me wrong- it can be exhilarating when it goes well and to hear something I helped create performed publicly or played on the radio is an absolute thrill. But it is also work and my passion. It isn’t an issue of “liking” it is so much a part of me, I truly feel it is a part of my central nervous system. It keeps me going- literally. So, I did a quick and dirty inventory of my completed songs to this point in 2020-it looks like 45 songs written so far this year with 33 songs cowritten and 12 songs written solo. I have had four songs pitched to major artists and I have one on hold. So, there’s still hope for 2020- we shall see.
