Atypical & Awesome, “Shows, Ghosts, Jazz, and Beignets, Galore”
We have had a TIME in NOLA! It has been an absolute blast. it’ s been over a decade since I:ve been here and it was the first time Phillip and I have been here together, It has been magical.
First, the shows. We had a great show at the Moonshine Bar and Grill hosted by Ole Skool/ Edge of Comedy on Thursday night in Metairie. We made some new friends and got invited to a show at the Moxy in NOLA the next night. The Moxy was right down from where we are staying so this was perfect. A Friday night show in NOLA was a real treat. Die Laffing hosted by Jessie James Page was a cool open-mic concept in a hotel bar setting. Both hosts for the shows did a great job and Phillip andI felt welcomed and were treated like friends. Thank you so much NOLA!
We have done all the touristy things and it has been spectacular or should I say, spooktacular? We have beignets twice ( about to head for #3 before we leave), we’ve listened to several jazz bands, walked Bourbon street several times, and even went on a ghost tour. It.’s been fabulous.
We are headed to breakfast in the French quarter then we will say goodbye to the Crescent City once again. We will make a stop in Mobile to see a special ginger girl and then will head home. What a beautiful trip- thank you for sharing it with us!
