Atypical & Awesome “Sweet, Sweet Times”

Spending time with the people I love is my priority at this point in my life. I love my job, I love writing, but my family is where it is at. Thursday night, I took Autumn and Reagan out to our favorite little Italian restaurant to cash in a prize I had won in a radio contest. Girl time is just a really special thing and Reagan (12) idolizes Autumn (22). Phillip was off on a rare Friday and we enjoyed just hanging out at home with the kids and watching a really cheesy Jennifer Garner movie- oh, and we went shopping at the DG lol. But those are sweet times of just “living”. Yesterday, was great. South Alabama Songwriters had their Spring Ladies’ Brunch and it was great hanging out and eating good food while we talked about music and life. I spent the rest of the day with Autumn- shopping, getting coffee, and eating at a really great local seafood place. These moments are priceless to me. Life is way too short and I want to squeeze every drop I can out of being with those I love. Today will be all about writing and relaxing as Autumn heads back to college and the two younger kids are not here until later today. Savor it, though- those moments with people who fill your heart and soul are what life is all about.
