Atypical & Awesome “Hunkering Down”

Living just over an hour from the Gulf of Mexico is wonderful. However, it does come with a few snags here and there including hurricane season. Hurricane Sally made landfall around Gulf Shores this morning. How it will impact us here on the Southeastern part of the state will likely be excessive rain to include flash floods and wind. We were without power for four hours last night due to an oak tree landing on a power line. The kids are home from school today and I am home as well. Right now, things are dark and rainy but our fun has not really started yet. We have 100 % chance of rain- all day-so the risk of low lying areas getting flooded (including roads) is high. So, we are hunkering down. I’ve been working on social media, networking, and have written a full lyric in bed this morning which has already been forwarded to a cowriter. Everyone stay safe and off the roads if you can if you are affected by the storm. Love you all!
