Atypical & Awesome “A Week of Life & Good Stuff”

It’s been a roller coaster week full of dips and turns and breath-taking highs. Lots of crises followed by resolutions and ultimately, good things but whew! So, a quick break-down of “stuff” going on…

We are one week away from the big all-female, “Funny Girls” show at Benji’s Cafe in Daleville! We are gonna have a blast- join us if you can! The jokes start at 8 pm!

Before that, though- we have a full week of events. Monday night- Camz Comedy Night at the Social on Main in Enterprise. Come get some of the best jokes and tapas (and cocktails) in town. Cam will plugging in the mic around 6:30 pm.

Tuesday night, writer and poet extraordinaire Patrick Pezelj is hosting the Wiregrass Museum of Art’s quarterly “Write Night” starting at 6 pm- come here local talents perform poetry, short-stories and spoken word.

Thursday night at 8 pm central on youtube I’ll join Pan Orea and a few other lovely ladies on her show, “Girl Talk in the City” to discuss the movie, “Pretty Woman”- lol.

Final piece of news, though and it’s exciting. Alice Nelson is up for three Josie Awards including one for a song we cowrote with my buddy, Dennis Powell:) “Here Comes the Rain” (Nelson, Powell, & Bennett) is an official nominee for Song of the Year in the Country/Southern Rock category. So, everyone is very stoked. The Josie Awards are the end of October so we shall see!
