Atypical & Awesome “Poetry & Prose”

Last night was nothing short of astounding. Mural City Coffee Company was PACKED for the Poetry & Prose event. Patrick Pezelj did a fabulous job as the evening’s host. There were a dozen or more presenters and the topics covered a wide array of styles and subject matter.

It was such a special night seeing friends and making new ones. I sipped a strawberry vanilla iced latte lovingly prepared by a super sweet barista as I took in the experience. It really felt “very New York”. I presented two short stories which will be foundation pieces in a collection of short stories I plan to publish next year tentatively titled, “Sunshine Day”. I am humbled yet inspired by the growth of our local creative arts community. Poetry, Spoken Word, Art, Music, Theatre, and of course, Comedy are really finding their voice in the Wiregrass. It is so encouraging- come see a show soon! Have a great Friday, everyone!
