Atypical & Awesome “Nashville- Sunday”

Phillip and I arrived in Nashville on Sunday just in time to check into our hotel and scoot over to the Commodore Grille to catch Alice’s 6 pm show. We arrived and immediately found Alice and her parents. We were soon joined by Jeffrey Kurtis with “Today’s Country Music Magazine”. Jeff had originally planned to attend Alice’s single release party but due to double-booking the party was rescheduled and he could not attend on Tuesday. He was kind enough to stop by the Commodore instead. We had a great time chit- chatting before the round. Alice brought singer-songwriter Justin Love to meet me. We prayed over Nashville Hot chicken and the round began. Alice shone as usual and I noticed at times the jovial crowd would get quiet. When the banter stops in the audience, that’s when you know you’ve done something special. You can read The review of Alice’s performance here: http://www.todayscountrymagazine.com/index.php/reviews/show-reviews/868-show-review-alice-nelson-at-the-commodore-grille . Several more rounds followed Alice’s and we were treated by stellar performances by Dillon Dixon, Josh Gallegher (“Sober is Just A Number”- wow), Kyle Whittaker, and many more. Nashville is Songtown for a reason and it’s always inspiring to hear the talent that permeates here. It was a great first night in town.
