Atypical & Awesome “Poems, Coffee, and Fuzzy Socks”
Thursday evening, I participated in another local poetry event. This time, Boldly Going Coffee in Enterprise served as the venue. Hosted by Patrick Pezelj, a variety of local poets put aside inhibitions and shared their writings. It is a beautiful coffee shop with lots of fun, quirky decor. I sipped on a “White Rabbit” and shared a selection of poems including two coffee themed ones. Enterprise is blessed to have a bubbling creative community.
After this event, Phillip and I drove a couple of streets over and stopped into the Barrel Room where Alice Nelson was performing, I ordered the fish n chips I’d been dreaming out all week. Phillip ordered a Reuben. Let me tell you, the Barrel Room’s food is off the chain. Look forward to getting back over there soon. We didn’t stay too long as it was getting late for a “school night” but we did get to hear Alice perform, “Here Comes the Rain” which we wrote with Dennis Powell. Alice sounded great as always. Check her out online to keep up with her performances.
It’s been a busy week of work and school so I’m enjoying staying in my fuzzy robe, pjs, and fuzzy socks today while drinking copious amounts of coffee. Phillip is watching football and we are chillaxing. We plan to get out later this evening to support local, live music. Hope your weekend is spectacular and as always, thanks for your support :)
