Atypical & Awesome “Friend”

It’s here! Dustin Ford’s Ep, “Love, Drugs, and Other Things” dropped at midnight! So thrilled and honored to have cowritten track #3, “Friend” with Dustin and Alice Nelson! Go stream and share, please! We sure could use a friend!

Speaking of Alice, she hosted open-mic at Happy Times is Ozark last night and did a phenomenal job! I was gonna do a few songs but lost my nerve and ended up doing a comedy routine- lol Made a couple of people laugh so maybe I didn’t tank too bad! Will be doing comedy again Monday night at the Social in Enterprise- woot! Woot!

So why did I chicken out of performing? Because the ones who did perform were sooo good. Bryson Storey came by and blew the roof off Happy Times. Alice performed solo at first and did fantastic as always. Alice and Bryson are both 18 and just incredible. Alice’s band stopped in for a few tunes including, “Girlfriend” which is thrilling to hear with a full band. The Happy Times bartenders also made a special non-boozy “Girlfriend” drink so that was pretty sweet- literally.

I got home just in time for the release of “Friend”. There is nothing like having a song released into the world. As a songwriter, it is what I live for and it gives me the greatest high. I’m savoring every moment. I’ve had three singles in the past year as a writer and four as a publisher. I’m always working on that next cut. Who will it be??? Stay tuned ;)
