Atypical & Awesome “Magic Moments”
Another day of so much everything and I’m feeling overwhelmed… with gratitude. Autumn is currently whale watching in Iceland and will head back to the States today. She has had so many adventures on this trip and my heart is exploding with happiness for her.
So, let’s talk about last night. Phillip and I BOTH did comedy in different venues in different states! I was on the bill along with other comics from Wiregrass Comedy for Cocktails and Comedy Night at Happy Times in Ozark. We had a blast. There was a good crowd and I feel like my set went well. I’m always grateful for a chance to do my thing.
Phillip did an open-mic in Pensacola at A Little Madness Brewing Company. He said they has a nice crowd and his set seemed to go over well, too. I cannot express how happy this made me. What a cool experience. Both of us working towards honing our craft and making strides forward. A truly magic moment in my eyes.
But wait, there’s more. Alex is continuing to grow and prosper in their independence in their first professional job out on their own. They are so happy and that makes this mama’s heart so happy.
Finally, today is the end of an era. One of the “founding fathers” of my day gig retires after 40 years. I don’t even know what to think. Mr. Herman has been my “work dad” for most of the past ten years and has influenced so many troubled kids (and staff). I wish him nothing but the best in retirement.
Magic moments. Hold on to them- those are what will keep you going!
