Atypical & Awesome “Up and At ‘Em”

Happy Saturday morning, everyone! I’ve been working on a new song this morning with Jessica Lavallee! I’ve lost count of how many songs we’ve written together but it is always a joy. Phillip was out of town a couple of nights this week. He usually brings me back “treats” from his excursions. This time he brought me chicken and dumplings, beignets, and stick candy from Cracker Barrel :) He was on a mission to find clove candy because I discovered it a couple of months ago and loved it. He’s so sweet to me. Yall. i mean, really.

The past few days and this weekend have been grad school mode. I’m deep in the trenches of papers and getting ready tor practicum this summer. Pray for me. i will have a 10 week stretch of 80 hour weeks this summer. Yep. In the end it will pay off but your girl’s gonna need some prayer.

But before I enter THAT phase, I still have lots of awesome things going on! We are 2 weeks away from the big all-female “Funny Girls” show at Benji’s coming up May 13! so excited- be sure to follow the event page on Facebook!

Also I’m a guest on “Girl Talk and the City” hosted by Pan Orea on May 11 at 8 pm CST! Be sure to tune in to youtube that night! We’ll be talking about the movie “Pretty Woman”!
