Atypical & Awesome “Absorbing and Growing”
This week has been one of reflection, awareness, and growth. I am working hard right now to become a better me. Specifically, I am working towards my LICSW which requires working full-time (in a supervisory role now), receiving my own clinical supervision, getting required CEU’s, etc. In fact, I was in Homewood Friday for CEU’s and had some really sweet experiences.
The neighborhood where the training took place felt like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. The homes were small but all had character and were meticulously maintained. The flowers were everywhere and gorgeous! I saw a mama pushing a stroller and a mailman delivering mail on foot. The neighborhood had big, beautiful churches and a well-kept park. All that was missing was a trolley! What a perfect little picture.
I stopped at one of my favorite places on the way home- Sweet Creek Farm Market outside of Montgomery. After a short respite, I took some quick photos of their free-roaming chickens and purchased some treats for the kids and peach cider for myself. The peach cider is delicious. Like- crazy good. Can’t wait to try the Muscadine and Scuppernong next time.
I did a little writing this week and have set a goal to get back to the guitar. My mind has been everywhere so it is time to refocus and set a plan into place.
Speaking of clearing my mind and refocusing, I had an amazing facial and massage yesterday by my girl, India at Rituals Day Spa. Which reminds me, I need to book my next one! Worth every dime.
Tomorrow night, we’ll be doing comedy at Rumors in Level Plains. Come see us if you are in the neighborhood!
