Atypical & Awesome, “Is April Fooling?”
April has entered full force- some days beautiful and springy and other’s tornadic and stormy. The flu has also been rampant so the first week has had its challenges.
We've had some fun, too. We have watched A LOT of college basketball on tv and spent some much needed time at home. We perfected our deviled egg recipes and entered the “Devilicious Deviled Egg” contest at the Enterprise Farmer’s Market. Phillip took home two awards, “Most Extraordinary “ and “People’s Choice”. My eggs won in the, “Most Eggstraditional” category. Together, we took home prize winnings of $150 and a lot of bragging rights and laughs.
Gorgeous flowers, hand-crafted lemonades, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and home-made hot sauce made by a soldier were some of our farmer’s market finds. We love supporting the farmer’s market and our local vendors.
We also love supporting local talent. We have been on the edge of our seats (the couch) watching Crews Wright on American Idol. He has made small-town Alabama proud and proven his credentials. He has a fabulous career ahead and we are here for it!
Life keeps moving forward so we are enjoying what we can and adjusting as needed. The creative juices are flowing and I am utilizing various outlets. I’m working on a musical, and regular ol songs, and finding beauty and inspiration in life. Have a wonderful week everyone!
