So much everything-again! Looking back over the past week is a little dizzying. I’ll try to bring you up to date. First, work and grad school as always. On top of that, a great write with a young male artist. He has an EP coming out this fall and not only do I have a song or two on the project bur he’s doing a video for one of our songs- how fun! Especially given the locale of the video (details soon) it’s guaranteed to be really special.

Thursday night, we had another great comedy open-mic at Rumors in Level Plains. Hosted by Mr.Spud Comedy, we always have a good time. Definitely check out Mr. Spud and friends next time plus, Rumors is a great venue and so supportive!

Saturday, Phillip and I took a couple of carloads of teens and twenty-agers to Shipwreck Island in PCB. It was the first time we’ve been to a big waterpark together. We survived and didn’t get burnt to a crisp so that is a win-win! We had lots of fun but have decided large twisted ice cream cones and the heat don’t mix- lol IYKYK

That evening, we ventured out to Cisco’s Bourbon and Cigar Bar to support Bennie Mac Comedy and a couple of friends who were on the bill. I smoked my first cigar and we had a good time. But strobe lights are from the devil and should be banned. Seriously. Strobes used to be fun for me- absolutely no more. Nevertheless, it is a great little set up- in fact, I may go back tonight as the Wiregrass Blues Society is meeting there tonight and I joined back in January and have yet made it to a meeting. Maybe tonight’s the night.
