Atypical & Awesome, “Cutts and Oz”

Phillip and I had the rare opportunity to spend the whole day alone together yesterday. We had grandiose plans to drive down to the beach and have lunch and then piddle around until time to drive over to Chipley for a play.

However, we were exhausted. The night before was emotionally draining and we had terrible weather that kept me up all night. So, we improvised.

We popped in to a local eatery for lunch. Yall. Cutts. We had never been- just honestly never had a chance. We are sold. Oh my. Absolutely spot on. We will be back on the regular. Butter beans. Amazing chicken tenders and onion rings. Chocolate pie with big, thick meringue. Oh, my!

We came back home and took a HARD two hour nap. One of those deep, sleep naps that leave you completely disoriented when you wake up- it was great and obviously much needed.

We then travelled to Chipley to see “The Wizard of Oz” presented at the Spanish Trail Playhouse. A friend’s son had the coveted role of “Mayor of Munchland” and did fabulous. There was some stellar talent in the production and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I am a massive Wizard of Oz fan so I was in my element.

Today, I get to relax. I am on break from school until March 18. Tomorrow, I have more dental work. Tuesday is work and then comedy at The Social in Enterprise on Tuesday night. Stop by if you are in the area. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!.
