Atypical & Awesome “Stoking the Fires and Forward Movement”
Good things are happening! I ended last term with a 4.0 and will be starting next term including my internship on Monday! I am almost there- I’ll be graduating the end of July. I am almost. there. Just keep swimming….
Tuesday night was comedy night at the Social. I challenged myself to write a clean set and I did. I now have at least 15-20 minutes I can pull out for the PG-13 crowd. I also want to challenge myself to write a set for kids. I enjoy being pushed creatively. Writing clean while remaining edgy and witty is a tough balance.
In fact, tonight we are going to see Jeff Foxworthy who I think has mastered this well. Whether or not you enjoy redneck humor, he does keep it family-centric. Looking forward to seeing how he performs live tonight.
Speaking of comedy, our all-female 2nd Annual Funny Girls Show at Benji’s is a go. It will be Saturday May 4 and we already have some great gals lined up. Stay tuned!
Last night, I spent a few hours at Benji’s hanging out and talking all things crearive-writing, comedy, and how to serve the local creative community. We have some interesting concepts in the works.
Also, I have started my latest major writing project-a collection of short stories. This is a different feat for me but I am excited. I have a plan now so I feel it is much closer to being a reality.
As always, thank you for your support. It is a busy but fulfilling time!
