Atypical & Awesome “Hope”

As we enter the season of Advent, this week’s focus is on hope. I have a testament today as a songwriter and publisher. Having worked in the highly competitive music industry for going on 16 years, I know how discouraging it can be at times. Hanging on to hope and those little slivers of success is what keeps us going. Today, I learned of a cut on a song that I first signed EIGHT years ago. “She’d Never Do To Me” by BJ Peace is included on Hurricane Highway’s latest album, “All the Favorite”. Whew! What a thrill! I am so happy for BJ and I’m honored to be his publisher. This is 10 days after the release of “Girlfriend” by Alice Nelson- a relatively “quick cut” (about a year) as far as music time goes. Hope is so important. Never lose hope.
