Blue Plate Blog 30 Days of Peace Day 24- Celebrate

“Every day is a holiday when I’m near to you”- the Carpenters. Every day find something to celebrate. I was a Pinterest mom long before Pinterest existed. I love holidays and I can literally find something to celebrate each day. Other than the typical holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries we have celebrated the strawberry full moon (with strawberry “moonshakes”), the last day of school with a bonfire to burn old notebooks and class assignments, Taco Tuesday most weeks, the summer or winter solstices, Star Wars Day on May 4, and even Shark Week! Now every celebration does not have to be over the top. It can be simple- for example, tonight will likely be “date night” for my husband and myself so we may go out and sing karaoke or we may shoot pool. I try to find a little joy in each day. Life is short-celebrate. Have a peaceful day!
