Atypical & Awesome “Just Beachy”

Our vacation continues a few more days. We were thrilled to get to see Sarah and Quinn last night. Quinn is growing so fast and is just precious- oh my heart! We’ve been out on the beach for a few hours so we are in for a bit cooling off and having lunch.

Alice Nelson is in Nashville for the Josie Awards and played at the Commodore Grill last night. She said , “Here Comes the Rain” which we wrote with Dennis Powell was a crowd favorite. Alice signed a brick of the Commodore Grill with “Here Comes the Rain” to commemorate the evening- so that is way cool. That song along with “Friend” which Alice and I wrote with Dustin Ford are two of the songs I have up for songwriter recognitions at the Josie’s.

Several of my friends and artists I work with are up for Josie’s- I wish them all great success and a weekend full of memories!

I knocked out a lyric this morning and I’m writing down hooks to use in writes when I get back home. I have a few songs artists are getting ready to record, I have a Christmas project I’m working on, and a new artist referral. Plus, I have a panel on writing on which I am a featured speaker on coming up in a couple of weeks.
