Good Things Brewing

It has been a great week creatively. Tuesday night, I participated in Write Night at the Wiregrass Museum of Art and presented a few of my writings. I was able to share the experience with my colleagues in the SEACT Playwrighting class. Speaking of, I also completed my short play to present in class this week. It has been a cool experience to push myself in a different creative way.

Thursday, I woke up to a couple of deposits from BMI for royalty payments. Once the statement posted, I saw I had received radio play in Canada for “Small Town Girl” recorded by Jessica Lavallee. How exciting! Those little boosts really help my heart (and mind).

Coming up on Nov. 29, I will be part of a comedy show on a pirate ship in Destin. How fun is that?? Thank you, “Everything is Funny” for the opportunity!

I have also been commissioned to write a bar-based theatrical/comedic show for next summer. Already have lots of ideas brewing for that one. And finally, I will be auditioning for a musical next month. I’m doing this to add to my knowledge of the musical process in order to aid my massive writing project of writing a full-length dramatic musical.

Everything is going well and as always, thank you for being a part of the journey!
