Atypical & Awesome, “All Work and Plays”

The week before Thanksgiving is always the most intense of the year at my day gig and this year was no exception. I literally worked my tail off. By Wednesday night, I was completely wiped. But, there were some high points this week as well.

Tuesday night was the final night of SEACT’s Playwrighting class I have been a part of in recent weeks. We were challenged to write a 5-10 minute play to present. The coolest part was to see it come alive as our classmates read each others scripts and even acted them. Wow- what a cool experience! It definitely ignited some inspiration and motivation in me!

Yesterday, I stopped in briefly for a fundraiser for our local animal shelter hosted at a local bar and organized by some of my favorite local musicians. It’s so cool to see local entertainers come together for such a good cause.

Today, I will be joining NSAI’s LA chapter for an informative session on “Mistakes Songwriters Make” presented by the incomparable Jason Blume. I am very much looking forward to this and learning more skills to improve my craft.

Next week, I have a comedy show on a pirate ship in Destin. Then, there’s a local Christmas comedy show AND I’m auditioning for a musical! Life is never dull- lol Thank you as always for being a part of this journey!
