Atypical & Awesome “Shadows & Sunlight”
Well, it’s Groundhog Day- the day the nation watches a little furry weatherman to determine whether we will have six more weeks of winter or whether spring is on the way. I’ve always liked Groundhog Day and usually turn it into a lesson about light versus dark for my “work kids”.
I don’t know about you all but I definitely have had light and dark lately. We have to remember that a shadow means light is somewhere. I’m grateful for shadows and sunlight this week- things seem to be looking up and spring is on the way regardless of what that groundhog says.
Here’s some of this week’s sunlight: wrote a new song called “Oh, Well”-check it out on FB and Tik Tok! Got booked for a comedy show on Feb. 16 at Jake’s in Dothan- I’m on the flyer and everything! Phillip came home last night after being gone for work a few nights- I missed him so was glad to have him here. I’m working hard in grad school and the day gig and I’m plugging away at both. We’re showing progress in a couple of areas with our family life so that is encouraging. We’ve had lots of good food this week, too. So, sunlight. There are dark things, too but today,I’m celebrating sunlight and shadows. Happy Groundhog Day!
