Atypical & Awesome “Like a Beast”

I don’t know about you, but I’m glad to see January GO. 2023 has already shown up and shown out- yeesh. But, I can’t forget the blessings, either. Autumn and Alex took a big train ride back to New York. Alex was able to hang out with Autumn in New York for a week so that was super special. Speaking of Autumn and New York, she’s back in her groove and just thriving. Makes my heart so happy.

We’ve gone to a lot of shows and events this month. Midlife Crisis at Harlows, the Alice Nelson Band at the Village Inn and Sportsman’s, open-mic at Hooblers, maybe a few more I’m forgetting. Can’t do em all but we do what we can.

I’m back in the trenches with grad school. Research methodology- yuck. I appreciate research but the class is for the birds. There, I said it. Plus, my day gig workload has increased by 30 percent so it has been tough. And I have a broken tooth among various other issues. So, yay.

But there are good things brewing. I’m booked for a poetry reading in Atlanta. i wrote a great song solo last night, and I got booked for a comedy show in Feb. I can’t wait to announce. February is gonna smoke January- wait and see! Goodbye, January- don’t let the door hit you!
