Atypical & Awesome “Weekending”

To summarize, this week was better than last. Received some much appreciated validation on several fronts this week. Sometimes, a little encouragement goes a long way even with those who seem to have it together.

Had another great cowrite with Jessica Lavallee this week- always love writing with her. Got more stuff brewing with Dennis Powell as well. Heard from a few other cowriters this week so I look forward to the writes booked in coming weeks. I also have a lot of solo writes I look forward to tackling. Oh, and heard the rough cut of a new single about to drop!

Last night was Hoobler’s Open-Mic and it was a packed house. A very diversified mix tonight. Seeing my friends Roscoe and Sheila sing “Islands in the Stream” was a highlight.

Tonight, I plan to attend a fundraiser for a dear friend who recently lost his daughter. Several local musicians are lined up to perform including the Alice Nelson Band. It’s beautiful thing when a music community is a true community.

Well, we have lots of “stuff” going on so I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Get out and support live, local music, buy coffee from your favorite spot, go to a Farmer’s Market or art exhibit- life is short- live it while you can ❤️
