Atypical & Awesome “News and Good Stuff”

It’s already been a busy and blustering few days in the music world this week for me. Led the first in -person, South Alabama Songwriters meeting in a while on Sunday. Enjoyed hearing songs shared by members and seeing the growth everyone is showing in their writing. Had a great write with Kristan Mikayla on Monday and wrote a song we think will hit home for a lot of folks. Tuesday night, had a great business chat with my girl Jessica Lavallee and learned her next single, “Small Town Girl” (which I cowrote with her and Terry Lavallee) drops everywhere Feb.11!!! So excited- we’ve been writing together for years and I truly hope she has a ton of success-she’s such a sweet and insanely talented person! I truly could not be happier. Alice Nelson- my other girl :) has all kinds of fun stuff this week including interviews and hosting her first round at the Commodore Grille In Nashville on Monday. Could not be prouder of her. I will be writing with her along with another artist tomorrow night so that will be a ton of fun. Oh! I also received my tax forms from BMI so I actually have to claim my royalties this year! Lol- it’s only up from here- thanks for being a part of the jouney!
