Atypical & Awesome “Off Day”

So, I’m off today from the day gig due to a cardiologist appointment. I also needed rest as I’ve been working my tail off. As is the usual, on my day off my eyes popped open at 4:30 am and although it is just past 10:30 am, my brain has been working non-stop for six hours. I’ve done some publishing work, promotions, ordered groceries, cooked breakfast, and am working on my 2nd load of laundry. The kids are still asleep- lol. Autumn is having a great time in Toronto and flies back late this afternoon. Phillip and I are making plans to attend the Watermelon Festival tonight to see Josh Turner and Shenandoah- if everything goes well at my appointment and we can make it in time.

Music wise- Frank Fletcher’s latest single, “Midnight Makes Me Crazy” is available everywhere today, Written by Frank Fletcher, Wesley Brown, Ben Byrd, and AMPS writer Dennis Powell! It’s a good one- go give it a listen! Also, Jessica Lavallee dropped a surprise single she wrote with her dad, Terry Lavallee, “Boat Keeps Rockin” and boy, is it fun! She’s playing a big boat event this weekend so it’s aprops! I’ll be working on finishing up some songs this weekend and I’m writing with a new cowriter or two next week. Plus, I have some grad school paperwork to take care of and some business info to obtain in order to expand my services with AMPS so, fun times! Day off? What’s that? Lol
