Atypical & Awesome “Hard Fall and the Rise”

I have been down in the dumps lately to be honest. It’s just really been a hard fall for me this year. Turns out, I’ve had a lot of really bad things happen in October throughout my life so there are some trauma associations I often suppress. Plus, i had a ton of graduate school work to do. I got it all done and by Sunday afternoon, I needed some sunshine.

Phillip was sweet enough to go with me to Aplin Farms for an afternoon of fall fun. He was patient with me as i took a ton of pictures of pumpkins and backdrops. He was a good sport and went through the corn maze with me. He even helped me pick out the perfect sunflowers and pumpkins to take home.

Once home, he helped me decorate our mantle and he worked hard to get the yard decorated for Halloween. He’s a good egg, y’all. I do feel better and my spirits are lifted. He seems to know what I need even when I don’t sometimes.

It’s a four day week for me this week at the day gig this week as I go on vacation starting Friday. We have two nights of comedy so looking forward to a good week. You all have a wonderful day and week- and come see us at some of our shows!
