Atypical & Awesome “Big Week”

Well, it’s gonna be a big week for me. In addition to my regular “day gig” and responsibilities, I have orientation for graduate school Tuesday evening. It’s been 19 years since I received my first Master’s degree and life and the world itself have definitely changed. But, I’m excited. MSW, here we come.

Friday night, Phillip and I went to Hangar 38 in Dothan to show some love to Midlife Crisis- an amazing 90’s cover band. Listening to songs from my college years seems fitting as I embark on a new collegiate journey. The guys even sent out a BTE song to me and those who know me well know this is the way to my heart. Better than Ezra was and is my favorite band from those years. I need to make a “going back to school” playlist-BTE, Dave Matthews, Blues Traveler sprinkled with some Alice in Chains and Nirvana. 2022 versus 1995 lol

I’ve been reading recreationally this weekend which is something I’ve neglected. I’m 177 pages into “Where the Crawdads Sing” and I’m loving it. I want to see the movie but first, I want to finish the book. Plus, I’m trying to get my brain into grad school mode.

Life is moving fast. Changes, New adventures. Food. Family. Stress. Humidity. Oppressive Heat. Air conditioning. Music. Writing. Disappointments. Maybes. Friendship. Missing. Loving. Hoping. Roller coster- smile for the camera ;) Have a great week, everyone :)
