Atypical & Awesome “This Week in Music”

Whew! Lots of family events this past month but also a lot of music happenings. Had a great write with Alice Nelson on Friday night and I love the song we crafted. Alice and I have been writing together for about a year and a half and have written ten or so songs- maybe more. I LOVE this one! I’m working on a song with a new cowriter tonight- he wants me to put a melody to something he’a been working on. It’s very 70’s/80’s influenced so I’m excited. i also have writing appointments with a couple of new cowriters this week and next so June has been a month of new opportunities- I’ll take it. Also, next Saturday I’ll be leading a discussion group on weird songs from the 80’s at the Dothan/Houston County Library- Westgate branch at 12 noon- come join us!
