Atypical & Awesome “Treadmill”
It’s Friday, it’s March, and it’s been two weeks since I’ve moved my daughter to New York. I’m staying busy but I have those tinges of missing her. Last night, I especially missed her so I threw myself into a couple of cowrites so that helped. My niece is going to visit her this weekend so I’m sure they will have a ball living it up in the big city. Autumn will get to attend her first Broadway show this weekend so I am green with envy but super excited for them.
Writing. Whew! So much! I’ve been busy cowriting, networking, and promoting the current singles I have out. Jessica Lavallee’s, “Small Town Girl” is getting a lot of press in Canada and if you have not, definitely check out the lyric video- the imagery is really beautiful. Jessica has had a lot of interviews concerning the release so be sure to follow her on social media and her website to keep up with everything.
Alice Nelson will be headed to Pigeon Forge next week to participate in an awards show and then will be back down here to play the Rattlesnake Rodeo in Opp at the end of the month. Alice is really developing into a great performer and her songwriting skill is far beyond her 18 years. This gal is going places.
I’ve been writing with Jessica and Alice and my girl, Kristan Mikayla. I also am working with new cowriters on humorous folkish material, bluegrass, Contemporary Christian, and have plans to work on some R&B. I also have a few cuts coming out as a publisher in commercial country I’m excited to share with you all. So, things are busy but busy is what keeps me going. Happy Friday, everyone! Check out a brand new song, “Believe” written last night with Jessica Lavallee posted below!
