Atypical & Awesome “Heart Happy”
It was a rough work week so I am grateful for the weekend. I’m enjoying a lot of sweet family time. Alex and I attended the Southeast Alabama Highland Games and had a blast. We grabbed chicken fingers from a friend’s restaurant and milkshakes from Sonic on the way home. Alex and I needed that time together and I have to give props to the event organizers. It was very well done and I will definitely go back. I bought Welsh cakes and Scottish shortbread mix to use during an upcoming tea.
After the football game, Phillip and I attended Oktoberfest in downtown Ozark and had a blast. We caught a few minutes of our friends the Black and Gold band’s set. Too Tall and Tanita have great chemistry and are a fun act to see. We then ventured to Live at Harlow’s where we took in a couple of sets of the Rock Mob. Sooo much fun jamming out to hard rock hits from the 80’s. Jessie Mann’s vocals are off the chain. One of the best 80’s cover bands I’ve seen.
Also, in music related news I was asked to be a part of a panel on creativity coming up at a local library. I have cowrites, open-mics, and shows to check out this week. So, yes, although I’m tired my heart is happy ❤️
