Atypical & Awesome “Let Freedom Ring”

For the first time in his new job (and perhaps, ever) Phillip has a 3 day paid holiday weekend and so do I. That means, we are home at the same time! We are cooking, eating, spending time with family and basically, enjoying our freedom. I made from-scratch creamed corn, yesterday and think my grandmother would be proud. Last night, we enjoyed a small town America celebration in my hometown complete with an antique car show, lemonade, and fireworks. Today, will be filled with more food and family time. Oh, and I wrote a song first thing this morning. We are blessed to live in America, even with its flaws. Enjoy your holiday weekend, everyone!
