Atypical & Awesome “ Dragonfly”

Dragonflies are mystical, magical little things often thought to be messengers. I wrote this the other night. Enjoy-

Dragonfly

She’s probably swinging

from an old oak tree

or walking barefoot

along some forgotten beach

she might be picking

dandelions by a street

lil dragonfly will you kiss her

for me

she’s probably singing

on a mountaintop so loud

or painting pictures

In the sky right now

she may be soaring like an eagle

Through the clouds 

Lil drangonly  will you find her

Somehow

wherever she is I’m sure she’s smiling/and she laughs like the river flows

lil drangonly I need a favor/give her a kiss right on her precious nose

I try not to get too sad when I think about her/Cause that’s just not why she was here

She had a way of making a rainbow out of every ray of sun and every tear
