Atypical & Awesome “Sweet and Truly”

For a moment, I’m enjoying some Christmas serenity wrapped up in a blanket watching Christmas Hallmark movies with Saffy. i have a write later today and then a family fish fry. Tomorrow, I’m singing in two Christmas Cantatas. Next week, Phillip and I are doing another comedy open-mic so we have a lot going on as usual

Last night, we attended open-mic at Hoobler Music. It was incredibly encouraging to see so many young kids participate. Roy Hoobler does so much to foster music education in this town, he is a saint. He is also my choir director and has done so much to help me develop my own performance skills. I am grateful to Kim and Roy for so much. Stop by open-mic one month- the diversity of talent is impressive.

Finally, most if you know I an a therapist. Mental health is my life mission. There have been many news stories lately about tragedies as a result of mental health crises . It can be a stressful and emotional this time of year so take care of yourself. Enjoy the sweet moments but also take time for a little nothingness here and there. Please know you are loved so much and your place in the world is valued and can only be filled by you. Truly.
