Atypical & Awesome, “August & Onward”

August was tough-in multiple ways on multiple fronts. But today is September 1 and I am sure hoping for an easier month.

I am so looking forward to this three-day weekend although it will be a “work weekend” in some ways. I have a ton of grad school work to do plus some cowrites scheduled. I have a spoken word/poetry event coming up on Thursday 09/07 at Mural City Coffee in Dothan so I’m looking forward to that- always such a cool vibe. Also, yesterday I took part in a “Wretched Writing” contest sponsored by the Dothan- Houston County Library so I look forward to hearing the results-lol

Comedy wise- shows coming up on Mon. Sept.11 at the Social on Main in Enterprise and Rumors in Level Plains on Thurs. Sept.14!

Publishing-wise- AMPS is proud to be a publisher via AMPS writer Dennis Powell on drum roll…. Frank Fletcher’s new single which drops Sept. 22! I’ll have more details very soon!

Writing and publishing wise- AMPS is proud to have a song up for Country Rock Song of the Year at the 2023 Josie Awards! “Here Comes the Rain” by Alice Nelson- written by Dennis Powell (AMPS), Carmen Melton Bennett (AMPS), and Alice Nelson (Alice Nelson Music)!
