Atypical & Awesome “All those Creative Juices plus Coffee”
Yesterday, I celebrated National Coffee Day by sipping cappuccino and participating at a poetry/prose open-mic at Mural City Coffee in Dothan. I presented a three piece set entitled, “Coffee, Tea, & Me”. It was a great event with a cool, trendy vibe. It felt very New York although we were in south Alabama. My friend Patrick Michael Pezelj. Did an excellent job putting the whole thing together!
Dustin Ford celebrated his birthday yesterday and will be celebrating even more today with his EP release party at Chapman Hill Winery in La Follette, Tennessee. “Love, Drugs, and other Things” is a great project and I am honored to be a cowriter on one of the tracks! Check out “Friend” written by Dustin, Alice Nelson, and myself. i challenge everyone to give Dustin a few birthday streams!
Kristan Mikala posted some vids from a recent show where she performed our latest collab tentatively titled, “Ruined”- check it out on both of our social media pages! It is catchy as heck if I do say so myself- super proud of this one!
Next week, I will be a guest on Pan Orea’s youtube show, “ The Live Show- Up Close on the Mic”. The fun takes place on Friday, Oct. 7 with time tbd. Follow the show on FB to keep up with times and other interviews which might interest you!
I have a cowrite tomorrow with one of my favorite new cowriters, Travis Myles. It’s always fun to see what a Kentucky boy and Alabama girl can brew up together! We’ve written a couple of songs already which I’m super proud of, “Red, Wine, & Blue” and “Love or Something Like That”.
Finally, I hope to go live (publish) a list I’ve been working on which highlights original music friendly venues for songwriters. Listening rooms, etc open to booking and paying for original music. If you would like to have your venue added, please message me.
Whew! That’s a lot! I’m pouring another cup of coffee- yall have a great Friday! As always, thank you for your support!
